Northwest Justice Project started serving clients 30 years ago. As we reflect on our impact in 2025, it is striking how much our current struggles mirror those faced by our founders — opposition to federal funding for legal aid, rising costs, a deepening housing crisis, shrinking government programs. At times it has felt overwhelming. But just like our founders, we dig in, keep fighting, and find creative ways to meet the moment.
As the need for civil legal aid grew in 2025, so did our impact. We reached more people than ever with vital information, advice, and civil legal help to protect basic needs for housing, income, healthcare, and safety. We re-launched WashingtonLawHelp.org and saw 158,000 downloads by year end. We filed 14 appeals, winning significant victories. We provided direct legal representation forthousands of clients.
