Northwest Justice Project is committed to providing high-quality legal services. If you believe you were denied services improperly or are dissatisfied with the services you received, you may submit a complaint (also called a grievance).
How to Submit a Complaint
You may request a grievance form from any NJP office. If you need help completing the form, NJP staff can assist you.
Once we receive your written complaint, it will be reviewed by the Executive Director or a designee, typically a Senior Managing Attorney. We generally respond within 30 days.
If You Disagree With the Decision
In some situations, NJP’s decision is final, including complaints involving:
- Financial eligibility for services
- Requests for assistance that federal law does not allow NJP to provide
- Requests that fall outside NJP’s service priorities
For other complaints, if you are not satisfied with the response, you may be able to request additional review by NJP’s Board Grievance Committee. Information about that process will be provided to you if it applies.
