Volunteer Story: Jerry Sale

Jerry Sale (he/him) came to NJP after retiring from a successful career in insurance defense, insurance coverage, and appellate law.

His volunteer supervisor, Joseph Jordan (NJP Consumer Housing Education and Employment Rights Managing Attorney), says “Jerry started in 2016 working with our Foreclosure Consequences Advocacy Team. He began by providing case strategy and research support. Jerry’s legal acumen and wit ingrained him to the fabric of NJP’s work, and he quickly became a valuable resource for many advocates as a litigation expert. His experiences in defending lawsuits helps to expose weaknesses in our cases, improving outcomes for our clients. Jerry’s practice with NJP has gradually grown over the years, to the point now where he’s acting as lead counsel on a protracted foreclosure scam case with attorneys from the Longview office."
