Angela, a Tacoma homeowner raising her teenage daughter and three grandchildren, faced foreclosure due to unpaid property taxes. She had previously received a tax deferral that had expired without her knowledge. NJP helped Angela obtain a Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) grant to pay back taxes and get the foreclosure dismissed, allowing her family to remain in their home and preserve their primary asset.
