Courthouse Facilitators

Courthouse Facilitators help people without attorneys in superior court family law cases. In some counties, courthouse facilitators may also be referred to as court facilitators, family law facilitators, or family court facilitators. Some counties provide free facilitator services; other counties charge for the facilitator's services. Some facilitator programs have do-it-yourself kits and mandatory forms available for purchase.

Domestic Violence Forms Online

Washington Courts has now made available an interactive program that assists victims in filling out the forms needed to file for a protection order. This easy-to-use program uses an interview format. It asks the user a series of questions and fills out and automatically assembles the necessary forms. At the end of the interview, the program gives the user an opportunity to review the completed form. Then ready-to-file forms may be printed.
