Volunteer Opportunities

In accordance with IRS Code section 6104(d), as amended by the Tax and Trade Relief Extension Act of 1998, Northwest Justice Project (NJP) makes available for public review the following documents:

Application for Tax Exemption, Form 1023, dated June 26, 1995.

Tax-Exempt Status Advance Ruling Letter under Section 501(c)(3), dated October 20, 1995.

Notice of Continued Tax-Exempt Status under Section 501(c)(3), dated April 6, 2000.

Forms 990, Returns of Organization Exempt from Income Tax, including all attachments and related schedules for the most recent three years.

This information is available to the public for onsite review at NJP's principal administrative office at the following address:

The office normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Copies will be provided upon receipt of a written request and payment to the "Northwest Justice Project" for copies and postage. The IRS accepted rate for copies and postage is $1 for the first page and 15 cents, per copy, for subsequent pages. The maximum charge for a complete set of documents is $20. A request may be made for one, any combination or a complete set of documents.

Copies requested in person at NJP's principal location during normal business hours will be provided the same day. Copies requested by mail, e-mail, fax or private delivery will be mailed within 30 days of receiving the request and payment for copies.
